COMPLETE received a Special Mention award for Community Enhancement

COMPLETE received a Special Mention award for Community Enhancement at the recent Urban Development Industry Association conference held in the Gold Coast. The award recognises the work COMPLETE delivered for the development of the Pizzey Park Community Skate Park. COMPLETE designed the expansion of the original skate park and surrounds and the project is well regarded by the local community and visitors to Pizzey Park.

PIZZEY PARK SKATE PARK

The extension of Pizzey Park Community Skate Park is much more than just more ramps and rails. COMPLETE Urban Pty Ltd and the Gold Coast Council have made it an iconic feature for the Gold Coast.

Pizzey Park is a haven for youth riders who want to safely practice their sport, learn from other riders and socialize. It has been embraced by the local and international skating community who have taken ownership of the park, keeping it maintained and regulated. This has strengthened their self image and identity as well as the credibility of skateboarding as a true sport. COMPLETE's design was based on expert skateboarders input which caters for many types of riders from experienced competitive skateboarders to the youngest, beginner scooter riders. COMPLETE and the Gold Coast City Council have created a park that is perfectly matched to the site, riders and community and considers their varied interests.

The finished product recognises that many families and mature skaters use the facility and incorporates new tree planting, shaded stage and viewing platforms, grandstand and non-skateable paths for spectators and carers.

securing multiple cycleway design commissions

Clients who continue to return and award further work to a consultant is clearly a sign of performance and best value. We are thrilled to be helping deliver some of Australia’s premier cycleways at the present time. That’s not to say we do not take equal pleasure in successfully working on more small and simpler cycleway projects as well! We are presently engaged to deliver cycleways down the eastern seaboard of Australia, and these are a mixture of on and off roads cycleways, from urban settings to beaches and rainforest boardwalks.
